Enjoy Expert Guidance and Hassle Free Painting from Legacy Garage Floors

Your garage is the place where one of your most valuable and lovable items stays.  Unfortunately, only a handful of us give our garage the attention which it deserves. Your garage suffers a lot of hardship in the form of oil spills, cracks and road dirt. Applying a coat of paint on the garage floor not only enhances the appearance but also increases the longevity of the floor.

The type of Garage floor installation which would serve your purpose is dictated by many factors. If your floor is relatively new and does not have any cracks, you can opt for garage floor coating. However, if your garage floor has lots of pockmarks and cracks a covering would be ideal. It not only helps to hide the cracks, it also helps to provide better coverage from moisture damage.

Garage Floor Coating
Garage floor coating consists of painted epoxy garage floors, sealers, stains and floor paints, they are way less expensive than coverings and can protect your floor from stains, corrosive chemicals and moisture penetration.

However, if you live in an area where ground moisture rises through the concrete and keeps the floor damp, the coating may not be the ideal choice for you. Ground moisture prevents the coating from sticking to the concrete which can result in the coating getting flakes and chips.

Applying a coating is not easy and takes several hours for garage organization. You need to make sure that you clean your floor intensively with pressure water. Any kind of grease or previous coating should be removed with solvents before a fresh coat can be applied. It is important to close all cracks and pores to ensure that no moisture seeps into the floor which can damage the coating.

Garage Floor Covering
The biggest advantage of garage floor covering is that they are extremely easy to install and use. Covering a large garage space only takes a few couple of hours. You do not have to worry about damp, dirt, moisture or any other imperfection. All you need to do is to clean and vacuum your garage thoroughly. The only downside of garage floor covering is they are at least 3 times more expensive than a coating.
